Bi-Directional/Active Test

XTOOL D7 has a Bi-Directional control function. It can access vehicle subsystems and components through active testing, and then output commands through ECU to detect the integrity of vehicle systems and components, and find out the fault location and cause, such as evap test, cylinder deactivation, cycling a / C Clutch on / off, opening fuel injector, on / off, ABS motor pump for cycling, testing windows, doors, skylights, wipers, etc, So as to easily and effectively find out the fault location.

Note: ECU coding and active testing do not support all vehicle models.

Battery goes dead in less than 24 hours after a full charge with no use. The rest is ok.

Poor support

The Xtool D7 was able to program a key FOB for me which saved me some money. I also wanted to diagnose a Lane Keeping Assist issue that I am having. The tool has option for my car but it does not function. I emailed support multiple times and got no response. Everyone should know that Xtool does not seem to support their product.

Very good unit

I like the unit and have found it does everything well. It is a professional grade unit for far less than other brands that do similar diagnostics. I was able to perform tests on my diesel truck and on my wife's BMW very easily. It can also do a bleed on the abs pump on some models. I have found so far that support on older cars (pre 2006) is somewhat limited. I did email support with a question. Don't bother, you won't be able to read the email you get back.
