SoftWare Update Service for XTool D8/D8BT

It should not take over a week to get the software update when it is just a input code. It was also not clear to imput both codes to get each year. Why not one code for multiple years? The cost for updates is cost prohibited where two years is almost the cost of the original Xtool. Xtool will not perform automatic ABS bleed function when it is listed for the vehicle. I will probably pay for a better diagnostic tool my next purchase. I have older vehicles and want the diagnostics to go back to 2000 year models at a bare minimum. I like the concept of what Xtool provides, and the blue tooth connection to the vehicle; however, I am disappointed as it appears it is limited in capability.

I received my authorization cde a few days after placing my order. Once I entered the authorization code into my D8 the update was completed quickly. You still have to do manual updates for each car line as you did before.

I think the price is to high for a software update. I did consider to buy a different scanner because of price. I don't believe I will buy another update after this one. It would be cheaper to buy new scanner with couple years of updates already installed. The website was easy to use. The update is not ready available after purchase so you have to wait a week or more to use. So don't wait until the last day to buy if you use your scanner alot.

Logged into xtool update service. Selected unit software and added serial number from unit. An email was sent within 3 days with update code to enter in unit. Code was good. Unit is good to go for one more year.

Updating the software subscription was a breeze. XTool customer service far exceeded all expectations and is the best online support I've ever received for any product or service I've ever purchased.
