XTOOL A30M v2.0

I just received and had used XtoolA30m to replace brake pads on Porsche Macan. Works as a charm for rear electronic brakes. As well did full diagnostic and live data check. Having this scanner I can detect and prevent high pressure fuel pump failure in a future and a lots useful features and functions available in description.Also did a full diagnostic of hybrid Toyota Prius V, it shows the health of every cell ( 14 total ) in a battery pack and fixed the stuck rear door opening button with an actuation test.And finally helped my son to diagnose a used car he was buying during a test drive.I had used the scanner with IPhone and Android tablet, the later is better as iPhone App got frozen during the live data test and I had restart the phone in order to continue to use XTOOL App. Reported it to XTOOL support and they responded immediately, quite amazing customer service.Highly recommend it to every car owner.

Just buy it! For the price this thing is a steal! I looked for a while before purchasing a scanner and most of the ones I looked at were more expensive and only had limited free updates and this one has lifetime apparently! Just that alone is work more then the scanner...did a Abs bleed on my pickup with it as it is bidirectional so pretty cool....and I never experienced customer service as prompt and helpful and friendly as xtool! They go above and beyond!

I was looking for a bi-directional scan tool to run ABS tests on my 2008 Subaru Legacy, and the A30M has worked great for that. The price was reasonable, and it offers solid functionality for the cost.

It successfully communicates with seven key systems in my car: Engine Control, Transmission Control, Brake Control, Airbag, Integrated Unit, Occupant Detection, and the CAN system. Right away, it picked up some stored inactive codes that my basic ELM327 scanner had missed.

Live data accuracy seems spot-on compared to my ELM327-based scanner (used with Torque and Car Scanner). I checked sensor data for the MAF and IAT, monitored fuel trims, and even plotted my downstream O2 sensor waveform to assess my catalytic converter. The A30M also provides transmission temperature readings, which is super helpful for checking ATF levels at the right operating temp. It even shows what gear the transmission is in while driving and tracks the torque converter lockup cycle—useful for understanding shifts and drivability.

The AnyScan software is easy to use, and vehicle coverage is managed through downloadable modules. My car runs on the "Diagnosis—Subaru" module (currently v8.60), which supports up to the 2014 model year. Coverage varies by vehicle, so I recommend checking Xtool’s website for details before purchasing. Since this is a budget-friendly tool with no subscription fees, future updates might be limited, but hopefully, Xtool keeps improving coverage.

Customer support in Canada has been responsive. I had a simple question about the flashlight battery, and they got back to me within a day.

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It’s a great entry into bi-directional scan tools, especially if it fully supports your vehicle. If you’re looking for an affordable option with good functionality, the A30M is worth considering.
