I purchased this device to address a check engine light on a 2018 Ford Fusion Energi plug in hybrid. Prior to purchase I emailed XTool customer support to ask if my vehicle was covered. They replied in the affirmative so I purchased the unit. It addressed my issue and allowed the check engine light to go out.
I watched numerous YouTube video reviews of the code scanner prior to purchase which supported my buying decision.
I bought this to program keys. It was a no brainer being 1 key cost the same price as the tool. Well I must say it was a wonderful purchase. I had a little trouble but the service was amazing. Got it fixed the first time. This tool really does everything for many many brands I'd vehicle. Every home mechanic should have one.
The scanner is full featured and has the added ability to code spare keys and take photos. the intergrated kick scan is really good.
For me, by far is the Facebook and Reddit support groups. What i like about them is people ask question or use the scanner in ways i haven't thought of.

Ive been studying several of these mid priced scanners for some time. I am a 1976 vocational college graduate with an associate degree in applied science in heavy equipment technology. I worked in the industry for a few years before making a career in the steam and power plant of a large paper manufacturing plant. Ive always maintained and repaired my own and my familys vehicles. I bought simple code readers in the past, but modern vehicles demand bi-directional scan tools if any serious troubleshooting needs to be done. Since I dont earn my living by repairing vehicles any longer, I was looking for a reasonably priced, but capable tool. This one fits the bill nicely! Its recommended by several top notch YouTube mechanics, and with good reason. Their customer service is excellent and the scan tool often receives updates.
